Don’t be Daisy Do Nothing!
Don’t be Daisy do nothing.
Daisy do nothing is a business owner. She loves going to events, signing up to training courses and qualifications and even more she loves being part of a business community. Daisy do nothing likes being around other business owners and gets high on the idea of being successful. She loves joining yet another new group and saying hi. She loves going to training and events and chatting excitedly about her dreams with others over lunch.
But Daisy do nothing does not have a business, she has a hobby. An expensive hobby as she pays for course after course, coach after coach, qualification after qualification and pays for as many paid business groups as there are days in the week. Unfortunately, Daisy do nothing never implements anything she has learnt.
Daisy do nothing has changed her business title many times and her profile picture. (She paid a lot for a new fancy photoshoot) She is always looking for another cool niche that will finally get her business to flourish. She buys things for her business in the hope it will pull in paying customers. The latest gadgets, systems, planners even expensive 1-2-1 with coaches.
Daisy do nothing is in denial that her business is actually costing her more than if she did nothing. All those bills to pay for support despite never getting the results she dreams of. Daisy do nothing has an expensive hobby rather than a business. Daisy do nothing always has a solution when things don’t work. She moves to another business group, another course, another event and knows that this time it will be different!! (erm??)
Annie action taker is different to Daisy. She also like to go to events, trainings and be in business groups but she has a business not a hobby. Annie action taker makes sure after every event that she implements things she has learnt. If she signs up to a course she first decides if it will enhance her business knowledge, then she completes the course and uses the new knowledge to build her business. Annie has a business mentor whom she works alongside. She listens, takes action and asks when she needs clarification.
Annie action taker loves connecting with other business owners and enjoys supporting and being supported by like minded people. She learns from them, and they learn from her and generally she is an asset to any group she is a member of. Annie action taker is careful to only be in groups that help her grow. A few groups rather than many. Annie action taker loves doing lunch with likeminded businesspeople and has made collaborations that have enhanced her business.
Annie action taker has a business that is growing and thriving. She is happy in what she does and is always on the look out to improve by keeping up to date and action taking. Annie earns enough to be her own version of success. She can afford all her bills, have her dream holidays, has good savings/investments, pension provision and now only works 4 days a week.
Are you Daisy or Annie? Or are you a Betty bit of both?
