Are you too busy looking for the next big thing?
Are you constantly looking for that one thing (or in some cases many things) that will skyrocket your business? Or perhaps you keep searching for the next course or certificate to make you feel more confident?
That rush of excitement when you sign up to something new, this time things will be different. You dismiss the last course as a waste of time, but you feel you learnt from it and this next course will be the one to propel your business to the success you desire.
STOP. Stop wasting money on the next big thing that you believe will boost your business. This may seem counter-intuitive, seeing as I am a business mentor that has a paid group but here is my warning if you are constantly switching from one training to another, and never getting the results you want.
I watch so many business owners signing up to course after course, expert after expert with the expectation that this course will be the one. The one that makes things all fall into place and help them get the results you want.
Here is the problem. When you sign up to something you get that first honeymoon rush of positivity that this time, you will get the results you want. That feeling of security that this time things will be different. You dismiss the last course you did as something that didn’t work or likely you blame the course content or leader for your lack of results. That last certificate that you thought would make you feel more confident. But in reality, when you completed it (or more likely you never completed it) you still felt like you needed to know more.
What is the answer? The answer is to question why you are signing up to something. If you need the course or training then go ahead learn, learn, learn. I 100% believe you need to keep learning to help grow your business. But please understand that you have to take the action needed to get the results you want. Remember that no course, or training will get you results just by signing up. If the claimed results seem to good to be true, then they probably are. Choose what you sign up to with your head as well as your heart. Make sure you are committed to completing any course, in a timely manner. Please understand that without committing to taking action consistently and persistently the results just won’t happen, no matter how much you pay, how fantastic the trainer is, or you wish it would happen. You can achieve anything when you learn to commit but you have to commit to make that happen!
